New front door and possible new bathroomwindow

Replace aluminium front door with wooden one. Require a work done in the bottom of the door frame as the old one is rotten due to rain coming in through the aluminum door. Also have a lot of rain coming in the bathroom window...if someone could give us some ideas of how to prevent this.
