I have experienced loud popping snapping sounds from my attic when timber in the attic expands and contracts. Mostly at night after a sunny day or on and off when the sun alternates with clouds during the day. Attic trusses maybe the culprit and may need bracing or similar, or more ventilation is required in the attic. The roof is asphalt shingles, 15 years old. Never had a problem with the attic or roof in the 12 years I lived in the house . I am looking for experienced Tradsman to look into the matter and give recommendations and ideally fix the problem
