We require a qualified builder, to remove the existing supporting joist that is rotten and replace with suitable new joist. The joist is located at the floor level of the 1st floor. They joist is easily accessible as the problem was discovered when removing cladding resulting from storm damage. This is not asbestoses cladding. There are no water facilities or pipes at this level. Once the joist replacement is completed then we will be expecting to replace the outside cladding with permanent external solution followed by plaster and paint as necessary Will anticipate the work will require external scaffolding and possibly temporary support jacks.
