Deck Repairs
Job description
2nd story decking needs replacing. Deck size 54 square metres Old timber will be all taken off so just the bearers will remain. Handrails around the top edge are in good condition. As shown in the photos there are some rotten joists that go back into the house, approx 5 of these will need to be replaced. I have had the Papakura Council Building inspector around as the deck has a permit when it was originally built in 2005, however Code of Compliance was never completed, the inspector has advised that to obtain this all I need is the rotten parts to be fixed and new decking timber down on top as there was hardies with a waterproofing membrane on it before which failed. I have ripped all this off so it will be ready for the decking to go down whenever the job is started I can supply the timber so it will be a labour only job, 100x40 MERCH Decking Grade (Radiata) will most likely be used.
