Window replaced with Ranchslider and building of a deck

We have a small 1970's brick and tile unit and would like to open it to benefit from the sunny area. Looking at replacing one of the dining room aluminium windows with a ranch slider with the same width so no building permit required. Also a kwilia deck to be built from the Ranchslider ,with some seating and steps to the front yard.Highest point is under 1.5meter.Would look at having the job completed over the summer.
