Living space house extension

We are looking at having an 40m2 extension added to our dining room/lounge area to a 1910s weatherboard home. Currently the home has some original 3m stud ceilings but we are currently looking at bringing these down to 2.7m in the living spaces, however current roof line is high due to this. We are on a small lifestyle block so have the land, but are aware that some landscaping will likely need to be done to flatten land prior to the extension occurring.
