Renovating my original 1970's shower. It needs it. It'd like to completely 'gut' and renovate. Its in an alcove in the bathroom (not a shower box) and I need one of the floorboards supported with a board underneath it. The builders report when I bought the house said they have cut about a third out of the floorboard to make room to put the water pipes in and is structurally sound as is but would be wise to put a board underneath it to support it. I'd like my shower walls completely ripped out along with the shower floor/basin tray, re waterproofed and new aqualine put on the walls and have it ready to be tiled. ie completely renovate the shower space, walls and floor. I'd also like to add a shower door. I will need it to comply with tenancy standards. The existing shower is the original 1970's shower and is not in a shower box, but rather its in an alcove in the bathroom if that makes sense. Shower alcove size is approx 85cm by 90cm (approx). Ideally I'd like to discuss my options with the builder as to what materials are needed. I'd ideally like someone to start next week and need the whole shower ready to use within seven days of starting. (or as close to that deadline as possible. ) I'll also be getting a plumber in to complete the plumbing work and also a tiler to put in the new tiles. Unfortunately I don't have photos as I lost my camera but will upload some if I can find my camera.
