Moving a ceiling strut from a load bearing wall

Looking at removing a small wall in my little 2 bed unit which I am fairly certain is load bearing (between dining and lounge). Happy to remove the wall myself but have been advised I will need to have a ceiling strut moved as there is currently one small strut running to the wall in question. Also unsure if moving the strut would require building consent so would love advice on that. No timeframe, as per photo I have removed paneling and there is no bracing or anything
