Old Fireplace Mantle + Gas Fireplace removal

In our lounge, from previous owners, there is a brick fireplace style area with a mantle, and an old gas heater set in the middle. We have never used this. We had heatpumps installed. And we do not have gas connected. We would like to get a quote on what it would cost to get this removed, the wall plastered back over, and possibly the space that would be left on the floor re-covered with carpet (we have some spare pieces that match the rest of the room).
