Replace interior door frame

We have a double set of interior doors between our lounge and dining area (unsure if they're pre hung). On one side, the door received a "thump" and caused the door frame to crack and part from the wall. We'd like someone to take a look at it and let us know if just the damaged part of the frame can be replaced. I'm happy to plaster, sand and paint so will only require a builder for the job. The house was built approx. 2003.
