As outlined in Red in photo 1, we would like this area squared off and plastered. It is the head clearance for the stairway below - refer to photo 2. We would also like to change the head clearance in the stairway from stepped to sloping. Photo 3 indicates where we would like the opening between the living and the kitchen moved to. Unsure whether this is a structural wall or not. Ideally the opening would be made so that a pair of bifold doors can be installed. Photo 4 is a picture of the open fire place that we would like removed and gibbed over.
