Replace water damaged ceiling in toilet

Hi, Have recently had an issue with a water leak above our toilet, it got to the point (before we noticed) the water has leaked through the current MDF ceiling and pulled the wall paper off. Looking to completely replace the current water damaged MDF ceiling and replace with Gib or plasterboard (if that's a good solution, happy to discuss with the professionals) Cheers
