Cut and cap external roof beams

Hi - we have approx. 20 roof (cedar?) roof beams that extend beyond the eaves, these are slowly deteriorating in the weather. I would like to have them cut back flush with the eave, treated, and capped with a metal protective capping. See photos for: - Existing beams that have already been cut back, I want all of them like this (but also with a cap for extra protection). - Approximate height, access is the difficult part of this job. - Not obvious in photos: some signs of rot that has extended under the eave that will need to be removed as much as possible (not looking for it to be perfect, just protected from further damage with stain/filler).
