We have discovered excessive dampness in the ceiling space of our house which appears fairly recent. The house is early 1970’s, rectangular and with a simple 30 degree pitched corrugated iron roof. The timber sarking under the iron is very wet on one whole side of the house (faces South) and fairly dry on the north side. We're not 100% sure whether the moisture is due to rising condensation, or water forcing its way in from outside. We want to establish where the moisture is coming from and look at a suitable remediation.
