We wish to build a deck over an overland flow path (a creek), and have had a civil engineering company provide a memo showing flood level of RL10.81m. We need help to create plans to ensure the deck is built well above this level, ie structure 500mm clear height minimum above this level, with nothing impeding the flow, in order to be able to demonstrate to council that this will not adversely affect the overland flow path. So at this stage, all we need are plans. A future phase will obviously be to build the deck, but that is not required yet. The size of the deck is 4.6m x 10.5m. The height from the lowest point of the creek to the edge of the relatively flat section of land is 1.3m (ideally the deck would be flush with this height, but I don't know if that would comply with the 500mm clearance above flood level of RL10.81m). Let me know if you can help!
