We are wanting to update our current porch to be more in keeping with the style of the house. There is currently a concrete base with iron supports holding a flat roof. We are wanting to have this replaced with a timber porch decking and have wooden roof supports, and include craftsman style balustrades and stairs to ground level. The current roof is slightly narrower than the building and we would want the new roof to be in line with the rest of the building, and cover the full porch. We are open to suggestions regarding removing the concrete or floating a floor over it. The area is 3700 x 3740. We only want the railing at the front to allow access unloading vehicles through the side. There is existing drainage for the roof at the front of the porch. I have added a couple of photos in the style we are hoping to achieve, to help make it clearer.
