I have an old garage on the boundary whose block wall (hollow) has slight lateral movement in it. It's only connection to the rest of the garage is via a purlin - whose downward pressure over 40 yrs of the building settling has caused a crack in the wall. The only thing bringing this wall down is an earthquake, but the neighbours would like some comfort of having it tied off to the rest of the structure. Arrgh. I only use it to store lawn mower, camping gear..etc so I don't want to burn a hole in my pocket rebuilding the wall. Can anyone help with this?
