Verify Repairs done to fix leak behind building cladding

We are looking to buy a house and our building inspection found a leak caused by run-off from the roof draining behind the cladding of one of the rooms. The Vendor of the house has agreed to undertake repairs at their expense. However our bank want a certified builder who is independent to check the work and take photos of the completed work before everything is closed back up, for the building inspector to write a clean report for them. They basically want us to do what we can to assure them a bandaid type fix isn't in place to address the issues.
