Job description

General Building
Auckland

We are renovating a villa bedroom and need someone to: - remove all internal wall-boards, preserving the skirting - remove any old wiring (house has been rewired but if there is old wiring in wall we'd like it taken out) - remove a couple of old fittings in wooden ceiling (old fashioned pull light attachment and a metal bracket of some sort) - install insulation - install new gib board - re-install all power points, light switches in same locations - reinstall skirting - remove all waste The room is 3.2m x 3.7 m and PLEASE NOTE the ceiling is 3.2m high. Photos show the room, fittings in the ceiling, and area of wall showing skirting and a wooden rail that runs around the room above painted red striped (we want the rail removed and not reinstalled.) We all some repairs to do on wooden framing of a garage. There's a photo of the garage and a closer photo of the rotten wood in some of the framing.

Hayden was a really good guy to work with. He took a lot of care in the way he went about our renovation. He had to adjust a few things when we pulled off the old gib and pulled up the carpet, and this required some extra work (removing sarking, moving power cables, replacing broken board etc) - he discussed everything with us and although he had to charge a little extra, it was more than fair. He did a quality job and he kept us up to speed with what he was doing the whole way.
