Investigate and Repair Cracked Soffit

Cedar townhouse built in 1996. It has the usual semi-internal gutters and I noticed what seems to be a watermark on the cedar below a crack in the soffit on the upper level. This is right next to a gutter overflow. There is no obvious damage inside or within the lower roof space. The gutter looks intact. I need someone to investigate and repair.
