Tidying outdoor brick hearth

Hi there, I have rebuilt an old cast iron coal burner hearth outside, by laying bricks around and over it. It's a bit of an amateur job so I'm looking for it to be completely re-pointed to look cleaner, and for its interior and top to be plastered to look smooth.
