Old chimney: redo a few bricks at top

Chimney is 100 years old. The top 2 layers of bricks have come loose, and the decorative mortar between the top 2 layers has crumbled. Need to remove the old decorative mortar, and re-fix in place any bricks that are loose. If possible redo some decorative mortar in the gap but not essential so long as everything is safely fixed in place. The chimney is in good condition apart from those top two rows. Roof pitch is 40 degrees.
