Concrete block wall repair

I have a farm shed with concrete block walls. A section of one wall has been knocked out by the previous owner, and I want it repaired to original condition. New blocks would be required to fill the space. The photos show the gap to filled. Ignore the pipes (they aren't connected and will be removed) and the framing/gib (it's just there to cover the gap temporarily).
