Job description

Bricklaying
Queenstown Lakes

Hi. My townhouse at 39b Tenby st in Wanaka has a small concrete semi-circle shaped doorstep. I'd like it pulled out and replaced with a rectangle-shaped brick doorstep that fits in nicely with the front-wall plant beds either side of the doorstep. The front of the doorstep must line up with the front edge of the two plant beds either side. This means removing some of the gravel stones that currently run a 'curve' to the concrete doorstep. (Later I'll be getting a concrete footpath laid which will run alongside the left plant bed, and will stop at the right front corner of the new brick doorstep.) Please see the first photo attached, to understand what I mean. The bricks for the doorstep need to be a colour that works well with the dark-red door that is soon being installed (see photo colour attached), but also work with the house bricks and the wood frontage for the roof. I'd prefer the mortar in the doorstep to be not too obvious against the bricks. Can you please visit the property in the next few weeks (the new door will be installed by then), and give me a quote for this job? There will be other tradespeople coming and going, doing various jobs, so just explain that the landlady, Kathy, sent you to inspect and prepare a quote. You won't need keys for this job, and there's no need to inform the managing estate agent, as the place is currently vacant. If you have questions, please email me at --- . Thanks! Kathy
