Recently I did the building inspection on a property which I’m purchasing, the report comes up with the required maintenance on the brick works. Would like to receive an estimate/quote on the following brick work issues - Cladding (Brick) - The brickwork to the left-hand side of the road-facing doors was sighted with a defect. A small number of bricks have been cut, and the large gaps between the brick cladding and the door unit. If this defect is left unrepaired, this may lead to water ingress at this junction A licensed bricklayer should be engaged to make repairs at this junction. Windows - Gaps were detected at some window-to-brick junctions as photographed below, this could potentially allow water ingress to the brick cavity. The installation of sufficient beading or flashing detail would be recommended now to help improve the weather tightness of the units. Attached photos of the issues reported
