Job description

Blockwork
Christchurch

Needing urgent repair work done to comply with EQC compliance while the property is tenant free during 9th and 10th of November. two type jobs both requires registered L.B.P brick / block-layer. 1.Summer hill stone veneer cracks: EQC assessment noted cracking to Summerhill stone veneer on the North, East and West elevations. The colour of the mortar around the cracks is consistent with areas of the house that have no cracking. recommends that the mortar be re-pointed by a registered L.B.P brick / block-layer to stabilize the summer hill stone. If the cracking is left not repaired the summer hill stone has more potential of falling apart if there was to be another seismic event. 2. Garage External Wall Blok repair The garage external wall block column has been constructed to carry load directly below the roof truss. Whilst the load on this area is low due to a lightweight roof and the top plate framing effectively spreading the downward load the column should be repaired to match the existing intact columns in the garage. The truss connections look complete and no work is needed in this area. This work should be completed by a registered L.B.P brick / block layer. Full report provided upon request
