Asbestos testing

We have recently bough our first home and the real estate agent did not know wether the ceiling contained asbestos or not. It is a 1960's brick and tile home that has never been renovated since construction. The ceiling is the first job we would like to attack before being able to move in. Can we please have someone come ant test the ceilings to see wether they contain asbestos, and then if it tests positive, the best way to remove it.
