I have a house with gibboard sprayed textured ceilings downstairs. There are three areas 1. a rumpus room which has no wall coverings painted block and no floor coverings (24m sq) 2. a laundry with vynal floor and basic fit out tub (5m sq) 3. a garage with concrete floor and walls one beam down middle. (55m sq) The textured sprayed ceiling has been painted over (assumed sprayed acrylic?) House age 1973 and tests show standard white asbestos as expected. As I have a limited budget the rumpus is the most important room. It has a ranch slider to outside. The garage least important. I wish to have each area as a seperate quote and the whole as a quote if savings in doing it all at once. I would like to know how it is best approached using what method. i.e. cost wise scraped replastered and painted or all gibboard removed and new installed replastered and painted. In the later I would expect the stopping included as a minimum. In the earlier I would expect painting to be included.
