Hope - please help

Just had a builders report completed on a property i am looking to buy. The builders report came back stating further investigation needed to check if ceiling product and exterior cladding contains asbestos. House built 30-50 years ago, i think in 1976. How is this checked, what would be the cost to inspect this?
