Assessment and drafting for removal of 2 internal walls.

We're looking to remove 2 internal walls to make a large open living area. The walls are 4.5m long and we'd like to keep the detailed cornices if possible. We're unsure if the walls are load-bearing so would like an assessment and then if required working drawings for the building consent. Looking to get started on this soon (at least the assessment) so can plan some other pieces of work whilst waiting for consents and such. Also hoping to do the building work DIY along with some other changes.
