Large Veranda

I need plans drawn up to submit to council for a veranda to run the length of our house. We want the veranda to form part of our existing house roof and to be finished in the same materials. Due to the new structure potentially having to be fixed to the existing trusses we will need consent I would think. Our house is only 4 years old so can supply construction plans if needed. We would also like a window added to our walk in wardrobe. Photo is the side of the house we would like the veranda. Being north facing it gets very hot in the summer.
