Architectural design advice for upper floor deck

Architectural design advice required for a deck for upper floor to open up living room that currently has no deck. No actual drawings required. A structural engineer will do the calculations but we are in need of design advice as to what we could do to have a deck we can walk out to from the open plan living kitchen. Thanks
