Hello - i am looking for a quote for a draftsman to complete a deck extension that requires building Consent given it is more than 1.5m on sloping land.. There is an existing deck that wraps around half the front of the house . My brother who is a qualified/registered builder, helped us complete a deck at the back of the house but it is about 2m short of the connection from the front deck - we stopped as we needed consent to connect the wrap around deck. As we need building consent between the two areas, we are looking for a draftsman to prepare the drawings and help us with the Building consent required. Deck that needs to be built: 1.9m by 3.5m. Height starts from 1.5m (from back deck) and will need connect to front deck of a height 2.3m (0.8m slope within 3.5m).

I worked with Sam on my deck extension that needed building consent. After a couple of emails to ensure scope was clear, I decided to work with Sam on an hourly basis. From formal engagement to building consent lodgement it was within 3 working days. Council have also just approved our consent with no RFIs or additional engineering requirements. I am very happy with Sams work and wouldn’t hesitate to work with him again if I needed additional architectural support. 5 stars for sure!
