Funkify My Whare!

I’m wanting to give my 1950s weatherboard home a makeover! But I don’t have the eye (or style!) to really see her potential! Bathroom, laundry, kitchen/dining & lounge are my main priorities, with the possibility of closing off an external door and creating a whole new entrance area! I’ve lived here for over a decade & been told the place has so much potential, but I need advice and ideas and a fresh set of eyes and drawings so I can visualise the improvements for myself. This could suit someone in training or recently qualified as I’m wanting fresh/funky/modern vibes - AND also, because I’m on a tight budget! I want a home I’m proud of and absolutely love spending time in! Something light and fun! Think beachy, summery. Open and fresh. Not dark and dreary. The whole vibe is currently a bit meh and I want to love my space! I don’t know if this will be my forever home but I want it to feel like somewhere I’d be happy to stay forever! You may have ideas on how to modernise the outside cladding, staining fences, paint colours, roof colours, decking ideas, funky new entranceway/door ideas, advice on whether to remove walls or close off internal doors, landscaping even! Demo the carport? Build another? Build an internal garage? I’m open to all ideas and suggestions to make my space awesome and to add value in a “frugal” kinda way.
