This might be best to split in to a small and a much larger job. Small one is easy. Just need to convert an existing office in to an en-suite and possible walk-in wardrobe. The larger job is dependant on practicality and cost etc. Ideal situation would be complete new roof which would be a redesign not replacement. There will be a lounge extension. Next will be a few possible add-ons consisting of some extensive decking, possible room in new roof space with balcony, area for spa pool which could be over existing bedroom. New exterior linings throughout. Design could involve some interior modifications too. I'm a qualified mechanical engineer so I have some idea of what will be needed but I've little civil engineering experience. I hope to do the majority of the construction work myself but that will be another stage, hopefully when building materials are more available/affordable. I could perhaps draw up the plans, which would perhaps take me about a week tops, and then have someone advise as a consultant. Job is actually rural HB but Taradale (10 mins away) was nearest place available from the drop down list, will only be an issue for site visits.
