Deck self supporting
Job description
I have an existing deck that is attached on one side to the house and wish to make it free standing. The outboard side has six posts and bracing and the internal (house side) has one post in the middle and is attached to the house with coach screws along the house edge. It is 14M long and the posts are 2.7M high. The council has said I will need a consent to change the structure along with information of how compliance is achieved. --- does allow ordinary and braced piles up to 3m. I am looking for someone who can draw a set of plans to submit to council for consent outlining the council’s requirements.
