We have recently purchased a 1960's gable roofed timber weatherboard house and are looking to do some renovations. We're thinking of reconfiguring the kitchen/dining/living end to open the space by removing some interior walls, repositioning some exterior windows and doors, as well as adding a new decked exterior space. We're also keen to reconfigure and replace the bathroom and construct a new freestanding 2.5 car garage. Initially we're looking for some design and planning assistance to help validate and improve our existing ideas so as to best maximise the limited space we have. We also want help and guidance on how to tackle a project like this - specifically with preparing the documents and details required to gain council consent. We're keen to start the project as swiftly as possible.
