Renovation add on. Plans an design

We live in a split level home.. An would like to recreate the dinning area by building out accessing our property the best way we can. Down stairs we have a second lounge on another flat level where we would like to convert this into a conjoined granny flat for our parents. We live rural an have plenty of space an land to add on.. nothing structualy needs touching. It's more or less a way to utilize the space.. move the laundry open some walls new kitchen etc. Gah sounds like a biggy! Where to start!? Help!
