Job description

Draughting Services
Hutt Valley

My wife and I would like to make some alterations to our property. The alterations we would like to make concern a room on the lower level of our property between the main living area and the garage this is connected by a staircase. The room currently has a clay floor. When we purchased our property we commissioned a builders report and a LIM, neither identify any major problems. A few months ago when we first considered alterations to our property, we printed off the plans and noticed it specified a concreate slab where the clay floor was. We were concerned so contacted the council, who informed us that a building consent had been issued years ago for the constructions of the room but the only part of the building consent issued with a final code of compliance were two basement windows specified on the modified plan. After visiting your website we are very interested in discussing the steps from here. Our goal is to alter the space to make it both compliant and a more practical living area for our family. Please let us know how we should proceed. I have attached copies of the original plan and the modified plan, for your reference.

DGI Architecture was our first real interaction with the building industry in New Zealand, they effortlessly guided us through the process and after reviewing the consent and associated plans, we are thoroughly pleased with the end result. We are very grateful for all the hours of hard work the team have put in. DGI Architecture captured our ideas and made suggestions that have resulted in a significantly better result than we could have imagined.
