We have a 3 story house. The bottom story currently has a bedroom /lounge and ensuite. The lounge is big and we are wanting to put a small sink down there so my parents can stay and boil a jug etc. I have rung the council and they say that to do this type of work you need a consent and if it stays under $5k its a lot cheaper and faster to get the consent through. We have attached the as built of the consented work. We want to do this in a simple and cheap way so want your guidance about how to get it done. At its simplest we were thinking of putting a sink out in the Lounge area along the wall of the right hand cupboard of the basin. Thinking we could go through the wall and connect it in to the the exsiting sink plumbing and drainage. If it was easy we could also put in a small dishwasher drawer (again happy to remove if that is problematic). If it was easy to do we were thinking of also having another connection into the sink existing drainage for a washer machine/drier. On the plans that would be in the cupboard at the back of the basin - but happy for that not to happen if it causes consent issues. Could you give us a cost of what this might look like to get you to undertake this drafting work, which option you would recommend and how to go about getting it consented with council? I have a pdf of the floor plan and elevation of the house but i can only seem to upload photos on this platform. thx

Working with Zlatko was a fantastic experience. He went above and beyond to communicate clearly and guide us through the complex process of obtaining council approval for adding a basin to the lower floor of our home. No matter what challenges the council presented, Zlatko remained grounded and process-oriented, ensuring that we received our approval smoothly and appropriately. We would highly recommend Zlatko for his professionalism, expertise, and dedication to thorough, quality work
