I’m trying to get help with an alteration we’ve made to a commercial building in Stevens Street, Waltham. We are the tenants of the building and have done alterations with landlord consent to our showroom/office. I have attached photos to this but essentially we have extended the office/showroom and added a structurally supportive mezzanine floor above. The problem we have currently is that we must submit this to the council (as we didn’t realise we would need consent) and must submit this for an after build approval; but also need to get the specs to ensure the building is up to standard for a re-certification of the fire compliance too as the building WOF is due to expire. We have basic builder plans drawn but need to get proper plans and get some understanding into the process, costs and time frames to take the alterations we’ve begun, consent them and then allow us to finish it off ensuring we are using the correct practices for regulation.
