Backyard magnolia tree prune

Our magnolia tree hasn’t been trimmed for a few years and blocks a lot of sun. It’s at least 5m tall. I’d like as heavy a prune as possible while keeping it healthy. Access from the property is from our flat concrete backyard, once booked in I’ll need to talk to the neighbours about their side of the tree. Timing flexible. All green waste must be removed.
