Hi all! I have a split system installed (MHI SRK63ZEA) and I am looking at relocating the indoor unit. The relocation will involve lifting the unit 400 - 500mm higher, on the same wall and exactly above the current location. The system was installed approx July - Aug 2009, so it is less than a year old. The outside trunking and the wall penetration will not move. The pipes, wiring and condensate drain will be routed through the wall to the new location. Wall repairs by others. I am not sure if the existing cable connecting the indoor and outdoor has to be replaced or not, which would involve CoC. The contractor has to be Temperzone approved installer, to preserve the system's warranty. The contractor is to sign on the warranty card (considering that both wiring and piping is affected and the system needs to be evacuated and then recharged). I would prefer to work with one person / company as opposed to engage separately an installer and an electrician. Job location: Glen Eden, Auckland. NOTE: the website does not have a category dedicated to air conditioning, so I had to click on several trades I thought might be associated.
