Assess if fridge is at fault for tripping RCD and fix it if so.

Just moved to this new place. Fridge keeps tripping the RCD. Sometimes it works for a day and then will trip it again and is unable to get going again. The landlord thinks that my fridge is to blame. I'm not sure as I never had problems in the last place. Apparently as the last house was older it may not have had RCD's and so the fault may not have been getting picked up? They have never had a fridge in this apartment before so perhaps the wiring is at fault? I need to get the fridge assessed to see if it is OK and if not, hopefully get it fixed. Don't want to spend a whole lot on it and then still have to buy a new fridge. Need someone ASAP as my food is going off. Thanks.
