Insinkerator is now 5 years old, and only hums when switched on. I have tried the usual unblocking tricks, don't think anything is stuck, but that is always possible. Might be a simple job of unblocking it, or replacing the motor. Ideally someone that can do the job on Tuesday morning 5th December, am not able to be home/get anyone home any other day. Or this coming weekend perhaps.
