Washing machine

Hi, my washing machine keeps switching off the switch on the switch board. Spoke to electrician they think it needs to be repaired. The switch is fine with other devices connected. As soon as the washing machine gets switched on it switches off. Wanting to know if it’s cheaper to replace or get fixed Thanks
