Washing machine not draining and fridge buzzing

We have two issues. Our washing machine intermittently keeps not draining and I have to hand empty it but then it will work fine for the next few loads. It tends to be on larger loads that it stops. The pump water is clear and there is nothing lodged by the fan so I'm thinking the whole pump might need to be replaced. It is a Westinghouse front loader. Our second issue is that our Mitisubishi two door fridge is making an intermittent loud buzzing noise. From my research, I wonder if it is something to the with the compressor.
