Dishwasher not working properly

Dishwasher starts and can hear the water going but then stops after a few minutes. It completes the cycle but without actually washing. When I open the dishes aren't really wet and the tablet hasn't even dissolved. I checked the filters and no visible blocks but could be something blocked inside.
