Freezer alarm going on

The freezer alarm on my 10 year old wensington virtuoso fridge freezer keeps going on every 50 minutes, after i reset the alarm. It has done this for the past 2 days and the food is going soft. There was no ice inside yesterday but there is some today on teh back, and there is no obvious damage to the gasket (it seems tight but does not stick like a ventouse).
