Shacklock Oven repair

My rental has a Shacklock freestanding stove which has worked reasonably well since I owned the property. It has recently developed a problem which seems random - the clock suddenly starts flashing and reverts to time 0.00. In this state the oven does not work until the clock is reset. If the oven is in use when this happens, it obviously stops heating which is disastrous if one does not notice immediately. The clock re-set occasionally happens even when nothing is switched on at all. The plates continue to work on the ceramic hob even when the clock is in this flashing state but the oven does not until the clock is reset. I don’t want to spend too much on repairing what is an old stove - if you think you know how to repair please contact me - the repair needs to happen soon for my tenant. If not I will need to get a new stove. The oven seal also needs replacing - don’t know if this may be connected. Thanks
